Suzuki has topped off a perfect weekend with an all Suzuki podium at the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Motocross Championships in the Pro Class at round 6 in Ohio.
Suzuki's Paul Whibley crossed first with teammates Josh Strang and Jimmy Jarrett close behind to give Suzuki a clean sweep of the podium in a dominant weekend for the all new revolutionary Suzuki RM-Z450.
Whibley held on for the win in the wettest GNCC race on record, scoring the first major victory for the RM-Z450 in the US and a satisfying end to a wet and muddy weekend in Ohio.
"It was a strange race with the riders being covered head to toe in mud, it was hard to pick out who was who," explained Whibley.
"Riders were going down like flies, crashing, getting stuck or drowning their bike in the deep water filled ruts.
"I rode as hard as I could to the end, crossing the line to be told I had won, I was stunned, it seemed surreal!" said Whibley.
Josh Strang has enjoyed a consistent run of sustained success, having occupied second place on the podium for three rounds running he is sure to push for a race victory aboard his RM-Z450 in the coming rounds.
Jimmy Jarrett piloted a Suzuki RM-Z250 home to third, rounding out the all Suzuki Pro Class Podium.
The series moves to Sparta Kentucky for Round Seven on the 31May- June 1.
