Marc Williams has been active in motorsport since an early age and is one of a small group of bright young racing stars who will lead New Zealand's sport into the future.
After graduating from an apprenticeship racing karts, Marc entered car racing in the Formula First category – the entry level for single-seater racing in New Zealand.
From Formula First, Marc took the bold step in 2005 to race a powerful Formula 3 race car in Australia and contested the Trophy Class for older model cars. He led this series right to the end – despite not appearing at several rounds.
However a non-finish in one race of the final round when he slipped off the track on oil dropped by another competitor prevented Marc from winning the Trophy championship on debut in Australia.AchievementsToyota Racing Series in New Zealand 2005/6 including New Zealand Grand Prix
